What is / are ...Hennesy / Remy Martin and Cognac??

I'm making a connection to remy martin when thinking of hennesy? Also what is cognac classified as, would it be scotch? What are all of these? Are they the same or diffrent? What do they each taste like, origin, what varieties do they come in, what are they classified as, are they popular? etc..|||They all refer to Cognac. Very fine grape brandy and the best known type of brandy in the world. Produced in the Cognac region in western France, just north of Bordeaux. Cognac is double distilled from fermented grape juice and aged in oak barrels - usually Limousin oak - to mellow it and impart colour and additional aromas and flavours. The primary grape varieties used in making Cognac are Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard.|||Like the other person said they are types of Cognac. Remy Martin and Hennesey are different brands. There is some more brands.
