Which Conjac you prefer?

Hennessy

Remy Martin

or something else i didnt drink anything diffrent then remy's VSOP and sum hennessy that wanst the cheapest.|||Cognac -- it's been said, you'll get more favorable (and kind) responses if you're careful with your spelling and grammar.

I personally prefer the Courvoisier VSOP to either of the two you've mentioned. Though I think there are others that are even better on the market. It depends on what you can find in your area. Hine makes some good Cognac as well.

If you have to choose between the two, I'd go with the Remy -- though I think it's overpriced for what you get.|||1) Then why did i get "best answer"?

2) You asked our opinion, I gave it to you.

3) I was simply trying to make a suggestion about how your grammar conveys an image about you -- people tend to be harsh toward those who don't proofread.

4) Also, your opinion becomes suspect when you look uneducated.

It's French, if you're going to drink it, learn to spell it. I don't drink a lot of cognac, but Hennessy is nice. Buy a little bottle of both and decide which one you like better.|||They are both fine cognac brands, if I had to choose I wd go for the Remy, but if you want to sample a real gem try Martell's Cordon Bleu although a little expensive

Cheers|||it's spelled cognac. and of the two i'd rather have hennessy, but given the choice i'd get something from maison surenne instead

I am looking for XO, or VSOP under $500.

thank for help|||for around 350 you can get some 45 ,50 year old cognac, try tastings.com ,they would blow hennessy or remy away.|||You've already blasted through my price range.

I generally consider anything less than a VSOP to be just a brandy, and am easily pleased with a $35 bottle.

Let me know when you buy the great stuff, and I'll be over with my finest crystal snifters and flaring nostrils, bro!|||Try the liquor store, jerky.|||Most XO brands sell in the $100-$120 range (plus tax.) Remy Martin, Hennessey, Courvoisier and Martell are excellent. For $500 you can grab a bottle of each and sample them all.|||Hi,

Hennessy XO is the best. You will get it within the price you mentioned.

Try www.hennessey.com. Or just key in Hennessey XO and search.

In the summer while on the deck I splurge to some Pastis (hard to find in the US) which is a licorice drink made in France also and watching the news on the french channels..

In the winter I prefer thicker drinks, strong red wines and perhaps a great Martini Rossi ; the wines are with my meals but I do not enjoy drinking the wines alone.

I also like Malaga but go find some in the US ?^^ Malaga is a white sweet wine from Spain or Portugal..

Otherwise I basically drink light beers..|||orange juice|||Hot tea.|||Celery Juice.

Difference between Cognac's???

I am looking at a bottle list and not sure what the difference is between some of the different Cognac's? It has a Courvoisier VS for $375, a Courvoisier XO for $575, Remy Martin for $675, and a Hennessy VS for $400? By the way these are prices for bottle service in San Diego!!! Yea tell me about it!!!|||Cognacs differ mainly in how well they are aged and by grape type. By definition, cognacs must all fit within an extremely narrow band of criteria so there is little room for differentiation. In any case, a lot of different qualities of cognac can be produced from different aging levels. a "VS" designation means that the product was casked for at least 2 years; "VSOP" means 4 years; and "XO" means six years. Combining duration with a few other variables produces a variety of flavors, often at the expense of rare ingredients or long cask times. To an untrained person, most cognacs will taste very similar but an expert will find a truly good cognac to be a wonderful treat.|||Holy crap with the prices! I can Get Remy XO over here for $120. But anyways. Most of the diffrences are going to be in the ages, the blends, and quality. In order from youngest to oldest it goes VS, VSOP, and XO. Usually the XO is more flavorful and with more dimension. Me I prefer Remy XO, but very few places actually have it. Hmm, I forgot where I was going with this. Anyways, check out this wiki page, it gives a some really good info.|||hell drive to the liquer store and save a bundle.. the diffrances are on how they are aged and blended. if I had to chose out of those choices i would take either the remy or the XO unless they have a VSOP then id take that 1...|||I was told 50 years ago

If you can not taste the difference why pay the price

I have Cognac and Brandy ,, should you ask.

If you mx Light Alcohol with dark alcohol...?

....does it really make you throw up? Let's say I drank 3 shots of patron and then 2 shots of Remy Martin...Help! ANswer please.|||No, mixing different types of alcoholic beverages does not make you throw up. At least not in moderation.

Often you hear "I shouldn't have mixed beer and mixed drinks, it always makes me sick". Flat out wrong.

You throw up because you drink too much alcohol, not because you had one bourbon, one shot and one beer.

The problem that people have with mixing types of drinks is that they start with beer, and drink it quickly. Then they move on to mixed drinks or shots, and try to drink it at the same pace.|||Take it from me! Stick to "Patron." Don't mix them.|||just dont drink it till u cant walk

VSOP means “the good stuff.” It’s a sign of class, maturation, and superior quality. At least, it is in cognac, where it is the abbreviation for Very Special Old Pale.|||Very Special Old Pale|||very special ol pale - I think ....|||Very Special Old Pale|||Very Special Old Pale.|||Very Superior Old Pale|||"VSOP" stands for "Very Superior Old Pale" and it's printed on certain bottles of cognac as part of a grading system. It represents brandy that has been stored at least four years in a cask for aging purposes. "VS" (Very Special) is stored for stored at least two years, and "XO" (eXtra Old) is stored at least six years.

Courvoisier is the most well-known and it has two varieties of VSOP cognac. It's a favorite drink of Busta Rhymes, who dedicated a song (Pass the Courvoisier) to the brand, and Leon Phelps, SNL's "The Ladies Man," who ended his skits when the Courvoisier was gone. Oh, and "VSOP" is also the moniker of a 1970s jazz quintet led by Herbie "Rockit" Hancock.

Why aren't there enough successful female MC's in the rap game today?

hip hop is way TOO male oriented.i miss the days of mc lyte, queen latifah, sweet t,salt-n-pepa,roxanne shante, etc.even the 2nd wave with da brat, lauryn hill, mia x,foxy brown, eve, lil kim,and missy.they have even gotten rid of the best female artist or record in hip hop music awards categories.remy martin was the last female rapper to win an award!(by default)|||Because there is WAY too much emphasis on looks and less on talent. This goes for female singers and male rappers, the whole industry too focused on the aesthetic. Less people are buying records - downloading etc, so recording artist need to diversify - they have become commodities. So they sell cosmetics, clothing, they try to act and whatever else they can do to extend their shelf life.

So the quality artists, rappers who are interested in making good music and less into playing celebrity, selling products and prancing around on stage half nekkid don't get any love as nobody wants to invest in them.

I believe this has affected the female influence in the rap game.|||They seem to all follow the same formula %26amp; when you have a group of female rappers who all sound alike, it's hard to pick one who stands out.

MC Lyte was very lyrical %26amp; stood out in a time when Rap was still a mostly underground male-dominated genre. Latifah %26amp; the Roxannes as well.

Salt %26amp; Pepa were a bit too pop for my taste.

Da Brat came out with a classic debut album that still stands the test of time. I think her and JD were a perfect team.

Foxey %26amp; Lil Kim seemed to be one in the same. They had some nice clothes %26amp; were sexy %26amp; all but lacked substance.

I think if a female rapper can combine beauty, sex appeal as well as original style %26amp; skill - she can stand out among the clones we see all to many of.

|||This is an easy answer, lately all the females came that have recently came out had the same sexually oriented message(eat my, u know the rest). it has been getting a little stupid, so that why nobody wants to listen to them. But hey M.I.A might bring it back, she represents a new breed of non-sexual oriented female rappers.|||There is alot!....this is a question for females to answer because me as a male ....I don't know why?...maybe they don't want to be rap artists...who knows!!

Did I store my Dom Perignon Rose Vintage 1973 OK

My father had a liquor store and before he sold the store he kept a bottle of the champagne and a bottle of Remy Martin Cognac. I found them sitting on a shelf in his dining room. 70-76 was a great vintage. but, i would really recomend trying it first or warning your guests...hey this could be really good, but it may be passed.

let me know how it is if you open it. let it take some air first though. it's been bottled so long, some air may do it goode. pop it, air it, drink in like 15 minutes. add a strawberry or peach. |||The Cognac is good.

The champagne will require your tasting it.

IMMIGRATION OFFICERS AT T2 IN CDG International Airport confisicating alcohol from Chinese transit passengers?

I came back from Beijing on 13th January in transit to London Heathrow. At the Beijing airport I bought a bottle of Remy Martin and a carton of cigarettes.

I have to go from one terminal to another and during the transit to catch my connecting flight and had to go through the immigration through no fault of mine.

At the transit immigation, I was told that I am not allowed to take the bottle of Remy Martin because the bag was not sealed. I explained that the bag was given to me by with my purchases in it and if the shop assistant in Beijing did not seal it. I bought some Malboro cigarettes too and they were in the same duty free bag these were not confisicated.

However, to my dismay and shock, other Chinese transit passengers at the same terminal also had their alcohol (Mao Tai) consificated too.

I have searched the internet to lodge this complaint but could not find the address, so if any one reading page knows of who I should write to lodge this widespread CORRUPTION.|||it sounds like pure corruption to me. As far as you getting any resolution in it, I doubt you will.

I hate to say it, but with foreign travel, you are often at the liberty of the countries authority figures... and THEY create the rules as they go along.

peace|||Merritt Family Two Hour Turkey

Ingredients

1 (12 pound) turkey, thawed if purchased frozen

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning

2 teaspoons salt

1 onion, quartered

8 sprigs fresh parsley

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

2 oranges, quartered

1 large onion, sliced

1 carrot, sliced

1 cup white wine

1/2 cup cognac

1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth

1/2 cup tomato juice

Directions

Remove the turkey from refrigerator and allow it to stand at room temperature for about 45 minutes to an hour.

While turkey is reaching room temperature, place a rack in the lowest position in an oven. Line a large turkey roasting pan with heavy duty aluminum foil, and spray the lined pan with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

Remove the giblets and neck from the turkey cavity, and set aside. Wash and dry the turkey with paper towels, and rub the turkey with vegetable oil. Sprinkle the turkey, inside and out, with lemon pepper seasoning. Sprinkle the inside of the cavity with salt, and place the quartered onion, parsley sprigs, rosemary, and oranges in the cavity. Sprinkle the area under the neck skin with lemon pepper seasoning, and stuff the area with a few slices of onion. Loosely tie the legs, and fold the wings underneath the turkey.

Place the prepared turkey into the roasting pan. Surround the turkey with the giblets and neck, remainder of sliced onion, and carrot. Mix the white wine, cognac, chicken broth, and tomato juice in a saucepan and heat over medium heat until liquid is hot but not boiling. Pour half the liquid into the turkey cavity and the other half into the pan. Cover the turkey with more aluminum foil, making a tent so the foil doesn't contact the turkey skin. Crimp the foil firmly over the edges of the pan to completely seal the turkey in the foil tent.

Roast in the oven for 1 hour. Remove the turkey from the oven, slit the foil tent, and fold the foil back to expose the turkey skin. Reduce oven temperature to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) and roast the turkey for 1 more hour, until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh, near the bone should read 180 degrees F (82 degrees C). Remove the turkey from the oven, cover with a doubled sheet of aluminum foil, and allow to rest in a warm area 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.|||Enjoy the wholesome goodness of my world famous cognac and carrots:

What is the best brandy?

My father drinks Remy Martin Napoleon. I was wondering if maybe I should get him another bottle of this for Christmas (along with a set of crystal brandy glasses) or have a look about for other brands, but I don't really know my brandy. |||remy is pricy, i like E %26amp; J it is very affordable|||The best brandy is Cognac. In Brandy you have American which is inferior, then Cognac from the Cognac region in France and Armagnac from the Armagnac region in France which is more rustic in style. I would go with a Cognac. The best cognac is subjective, but I've always enjoyed Delamain. I try to stay away from mass produced wines and spirits. Remy, unfortunately fits into that category.|||I would suggest XO Brandy, very nice!|||remy is the best.

When the bible refers to strong drink does it mean whiskey.?

the technology existed.

Robert L茅aut茅 presented the James F. Guymon Lecture at the 40th, Annual Meeting of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture in Anaheim, California, on 30 June 1989. L茅aut茅 has been with R茅my Martin since 1973 and is currently Head Cognac Master, Research and Development Manager, and RMS Vineyards Technical Advisor. The text of his presentation has been edited for publication, but not subjected to the normal review process.

History of Distillation

Alambic Distillation is a very old technique, which was, used by the Chinese 3000 years BC, the East Indians 2500 years BC, the Egyptians 2000 years BC, the Greeks1000 years BC, and the Romans 200 years BC. In the beginning, all of the above cultures produced a liquid, later called alcohol by the Arabs, which was used for medicinal purposes and to make perfumes.|||There is a strong possibility!!|||Nope, the bible is obviously referring to the strongest drink known to man, the "jaeger bomb" which the technology existed to create then, (ie jesus, he's the man with that kind of stuff, like MacGuyver on a ritalin binge)|||Yes, whiskey falls under the "strong drink" category.|||Well it might not be whiskey, but it definitely is a drink that you could become intoxicated from.|||Yes, whiskey would count as "strong drink," but I don't think the Bible meant whiskey specifically or exclusively.|||While the technology might have been in place, I doubt the common people of the day had access to whiskey. It would more likely be grape wine or wine made from other fruits. It may have also been beer. Both were produced by commoners.|||I'd be willing to guess it is mead.|||I think it's referring to anything with a stronger alcohol content than the standard quick wine that had a very low alcohol content compared to todays table wines that people drank (due to poor/or contaminated water sources that were so common) So a fortified wine or greater would qualify.|||Whiskey is also called "Hard Liquor." So maybe that can help you out.|||LOLOLOLOLOLOL...cheers...LOLOLOLOL|||No it does not refer to whiskey. Whiskey is the distilled product of a fermented liquid. The reason whiskey production arose is that it is not possible to grow grapes and produce wine in the northern lattitudes - Scotland, Sweden, etc.

So in the Bible's time most of the alcoholic beverages would have been either made out of grapes (wine), grain (beer) or honey (mead) because the people of the Bible are Mediterranean, a region where grapes grow well (allegedly the first grape sub-species originated in Muskat) and where any of these "bases" grew in abundance and could ferment easily.

But if you read about the Greek custom of watering down wine at banquets (read the Odyssey), what is most likely referred to in the Bible is the straight consumption of wine without the admixture of water. The maximum percent you can get out of these is about 12-14% tops, whereas modern Scotch Whiskey is at least 40% (80 proof). So I guess the Bible was just trying to preach moderation.

By the way most Scots in the old country still drink their whiskey with water in it. Not a bad Idea.

Bottoms up!

I don't really drink Champagne that much but is there a big difference between $50 Moet & Dom Perignon?

to me $20 bottle of hennessy tastes just like if not better than $50 bottle of Remy Martin VSOP.....so j/w if $50 bottle of MOET taste same as $150 bottle of Dom Perignon or even Cristal...are these 2 higher priced champagnes really that much better in taste|||It depends on taste.

There are Champagnes even cheaper than the price you have given that taste almost as good as the top brands.

The only reason they don't command the price is because they don't come from the right vineyards.

Having said that, these are few and far between.

NB: I actually prefer Moet to Dom Perignon, but that's personal taste - Krug is my faveourite, of those I've tasted so far ... no one I know has been stupid enough to pay the price for Crystal etc when I have been around..|||LOL If you can't taste the difference you might as well give up on drinking now!

Yes, they're soooooooo different.

BTW, I'd never pay more than $35 for a Moet %26amp; Chandon bottle.

P.S. Whoever suggested that it's just to show you can afford better champagne, we pay that much for a reason you know.

Look at it this way, you can buy a Daewoo or you can buy a Lexus. Which would you go with?|||If you don't drink a lot of champagne, then you shouldn't even be spending $50 for Moet. Try a good California sparkling wine, like Domaine Chandon or Gloria Ferrar. They're available for about half of what Moet is costing you and I think they're just as good. The Dome Perignons of the world are just for people to show they can afford them.|||Moet is $35 tops. To me, Moet is pretty damn good. I cant imagine Dom being that much better. Not worth the price to me anyways.|||To me, Dom is over-rated. I'd rather have the Moet. Maybe I had just gotten an off bottle of Dom, but I'll never buy it again. But my favorite is Mumm, and that's only about $19-25.

I am looking for a Liquor Store that sell discounted price...?

I have heard from a friend that there is a liquor store in Los Angeles that sells Remy Martin V.S.O.P. for $24 or other type of V.S.O.P for lower than $30. Please give me more information if you know. Thank you very much.|||You can only get liquor at those prices if you're in the hospitality industry (hotel, restaurant or bar.) There are stores that offer discounted prices because they buy in bulk. So unless you need 72 bottles of V.S.O.P. expect to pay the higher price.

Where can i find a 1.750 ml. of louis XIII?

remy martin, Im not looking for the 750 ml stadard bottle. this one is over double the size, you see them in expensive restaurants.|||Go to a liquor store that carries Loius XIII and ask them if they'll order one from their distributor. Or find out who the distributor is and call them yourself...they may not sell to someone without a liquor lisence, but they'll tell you to whom they will sell it. Or go to:

http://www.wineaccess.com/store/famous/n鈥?/a>|||Inside Anne of Austria?|||a big liquor store, like a wine country or wine shopyard|||Try your local licqour store, but know that it is EXTREMLY expensive. If you can't find it there, try and internet search, they may be able to provide you with local stores. I've seen it at port cities, like Miami. Anywhere they import and export goods.|||its called a magnum. You will probably need to order it.

I know drinks are free at the Vegas tables, but can I order the top shelf expensive stuff while at the tables?

I love smoking cigars while gambling and love a good cognac with it. Would it be ok and free if I ordered a Hennessy or a Remy Martin at the table and tip a buck or two?|||You'll have no problem at tables with higher minimum bets. Keep tipping the dealers and waitresses and you'll get anything you want.|||on a good drink tip 3 to 5

youll get a good drink|||order top shelf and tip the waitress WELL

nothing comes free|||no|||You can order almost anything providing they have it. Any of the major strip casinos should have both. For top self plan on two buck minimum for a tip. With that big fat smelly cigar you'll look cheap enough!|||u need to show u will tip more then that baby!!

then follow through so you get more then one - - $$$$ talks.

suckers drink the cheap stuff --

be sure u can tell the difference between the top and bottom shelf

they will try to slip it by you - there is NO reason (except a bad tip) you should not get top shelf - they don't pay for it!

good luck at the tables!!|||Most of the casino's anymore don't have nearly as much cocktail waitresses like they use to so there is not that many of them going around anymore giving out that many free drinks like they use to. Me and my husband have gone there twice this last year and both times we been there we just did not have the service like they had in the old days. In fact we saw more cocktail waitress and got more service in New Orleans at harrahs then we did any of the casino's in Vegas|||Sure you can order it, but you likely won't get it unless you are a high roller or tipping the cocktail waitress very very generously.|||It would probably be easier to go to a bar and order it there then go gambling. You can ask but usually it is just the well drink. If you come in with the cigars or buy them in the shop at the casino, then they should be able to accommodate you.|||You can order it, but there is no guarantee that's whay you will get in your glass. When you are specific about a drink, usually you will get what you ask for. The "juice ladies" are very thankful for tips that don't jingle...bills (the more the better) are appreciated. You don't have to prove that you are going to tip well. If she's timely with your drink and it's what you wanted, than tip her 2+ dollars, if not, tip less.|||Sure, you can order them from the cocktail waitress. If you are sitting at the slot machines, she is going to bring you the house brand. If you are sitting at a table game, she is going to bring what you asked for - but then if you tip a buck or two - she is probably going to put eyedrops in your next drink which will cause you to lose control of your bowels quickly - if you understand. Tip the cocktail waitress very well and you will get good drinks and good service.|||yes as LONG as your playing the tables!! if you really want to get your drink on go to the sports book make one bet ,, keep your losing stub in-front of you ,, as long as you tip you can drink on tips alone! Have done it!|||As other have said, if you are in a lounge or a pit that caters to the finer clientle, you will have no problem. But if you are at the $1.00 tables, you will be laughed at. if the waitresses and dealers see you tip well, they will be all over you. Smelly cigar and pot belly not withstanding

If I open a bottle of cognac, how long is the shelf life?

I got a bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII as a gift and am wondering if i should open it|||Cognac gets better with age. Meaning I don't think it goes bad. You can have it for years.|||"Louis tres" is a blend of eaux de vies all of which are at least 12 years old and some of which are over 100.

So it's already oevr 100 years old (well bits of it), so it isn't going to go off any time soon.

Just make sure you seal the bottle up properly after using it and keep it in a cool (not refridgerated) place.

And for Pity's sake don't go mixing it with anything....

Hi there, I am currently selling a bottle of Remy Martin Cognac on Ebay, but found that the USPS will not ship it due to federal regulations, and UPS will not ship it either. How can I ship this bottle? Anybody?

T|||Have you checked with FedEx?

Why would they even know what you are shipping anyway? Put it in a protected box and drop it off that USPS or UPS or whoever and ship it. You are not required to tell them what you are shipping.|||I can get the bottle there....but not the Cognac....That's my fee...Let me know|||Just pad it with bubblewrap and get a large brown envelope and take it to your local post office. On Edgar Allan Poe's birthday, roses and cognac are mysteriously left at his grave. What brand of cognac?

Each year, an unidentified person skulks into the Westminster Burial Ground in Baltimore and leaves 3 roses, a half-empty bottle of cognac, and sometimes a note. Most stories just mention "cognac", but some purposely obscure the brand name, saying "(famous very expensive brand) cognac". So what is it? Martell? Courvoisier? Remy Martin? Is there a particular brand that has special significance related to Edgar Allan Poe?|||There is no evidence that Poe drank cognac, but the vintage of the cognac is French; howeverl no mention is done by name and even the Poe House (which has the bottles) will not show pictures of them to determine brand|||Martell....

"The three roses represent Poe, Virginia and Maria," says Jerome. "The cognac, we think, is simply a favorite of the toaster. It's Martell. As for his identity, we believe that there have been two toasters, perhaps a son carrying on his father's tradition."|||There was only one brand back then

If I open a bottle of cognac, how long will it keep?

As a gift, my parents got a bottle of Remy Martin VSOP Champagne Cognac.

I'd like to try some, but it's still unopened. Some drinks start to go bad once you open the bottle and have a limited shelf life after that. If that's the case with the cognac then I'm not going to open it because I'm probably not going to drink much and a lot of it would probably go bad.|||Opening a bottle of booze won't hurt it. It has either a cap or a cork with it, just replace the top when you're done. Also, Remy Martin VSOP is less than $40 per bottle, so it isn't that big of a deal. If you were talking Remy Martin Louis XIII, that's a $1500+ bottle...you should be sure to take good care of it.|||Remy VSOP will be fine once it is opened for up to 3-4 years. You will notice some evaporation over this time but the taste will stay the same. After about year 2 you will start to notice that the flavors are starting to be come less sharp or crisp but it will still be fine to drink. As long as there is still some in the bottle it will be safe to drink but over time the taste will just become blander

hope this helps|||All Cognacs are brandys or fortified wines, basically double distilled white wine. They are about 80 proof and no longer carry the substances which can make a wine go bad. It should last quite awhile after you open it. FYi VSOP is very superior old pale, a designation that indicates that the youngest part of the blend is at least 4 years in oak.|||It shouldn't go bad anytime soon, but please, please, PLEASE make sure that they're cool with you opening it. It's really expensive and it's probably unopened for a reason.|||Cognac is fine to open. I shouldnt go bad. my dad had a bottle of hennessy for a few years opened an in the closet. It was very good.

What is the difference between "champagne cognac" and plain old "cognac"?

does it have bubbles or what? i was just given a bottle of remy martin and never noticed the label before. . .|||According to Wikipedia, The difference comes from the part of the Cognac region in France that it is made. So the only difference is geographical.

"The region authorised to produce cognac is divided up into six zones, including five crus (singular cru), broadly covers the department of Charente-Maritime, a large part of the department of Charente and a few areas in Deux-S猫vres and the Dordogne. The six zones are, in order of decreasing appreciation of the cognacs coming from them: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, Bon Bois and finally Bois Ordinaire. A blend of Grande and Petite Champagne Cognacs, with at least half coming from Grande Champagne, is known as Fine Champagne.

Note: these cognac-producing regions in southwestern France should not be confused with the northeastern region of Champagne, a wine region that produces sparkling wine by that name, although they do share a common etymology - both being deriviations of a French term for chalky soil."|||Simply, "champagne cognac" would be made from the champagne grapes and regular cognac is made from grapes from the Cognac area of France. Cognac or brandy is made by distilling wine and aging it in charred barrels, like whiskey. I'm sure that you could also make "champagne cognac" by aging the spirits in barrels use to age the wine used to make champagne.

Foxxy had a great flow and her lyrics were good, but she got all "Hollywood" and started acting like a diva. Lil Kim is basically gone. Missy's okay, but she's more of an entertainer than a rapper. We need more variety.|||I wish female rappers were more versatile. Male rappers have touched nearly every topic in hip-hop. But for some reason, all the popular female rappers and R%26amp;B singers talk about nothing but sex. Whether it's how sexy they are, how much they want it, or being heartbroken, it's all about the same topic.

Rap about politics, street life, drugs, family. Anything but sex, that's a played out topic|||No. Don't limit yourself because of your sex. Dance tracks with women are great, but (in my opinion) emotional tracks are way better. I haven't heard any angry songs from women, but it could be good if you used your voice right. I don't know, do whatever. Just don't become a media junkie that just makes songs to appeal to what people want. And good luck.|||check out this Conscious Daughters track.

What's a mild cocktail I could order at the club while maintaining my Man Card?

I'm basically asking this 'cause i'm a weeny when it comes to drinking, no Remy Martin, 151, etc. I usually stick to the colorful drinks, u know the ones that have Hpnotic, Allize, etc. u know, the girly stuff. But holding such colorful drinks in my hand gets me static from the fellas and look of apathy from the ladies. Sad, I know. Help a brother out and recommend some granny drinks that won't get THE card revoked.

P.S. Feel free to poke fun at my situation. I'm aware of the tragedy my nightlife has become. Thanks!|||Manhattan (up)

People will be impressed. Looks like a big glass of whisky, but it's just one shot. And very classy. Looks like a Martini. Get a Cherry in it. Chicks might ask if they can have it and tie the stem in a knot with their tounge.|||good Vodka and Grapefruit juice

tell the gals you are drinking it for the vitamins|||jack and coke, if you dont like jack try captain its sweeter|||An old-fashioned is a manly drink that you'll enjoy drinking. The problem is that it's a *complicated* drink for the bartender, so you don't want to order it when he's really busy. That would cost him tips, so he's likely to "forget" to include the sugar, as a way of punishing you.

But you can order single-malt scotch on the rocks anytime. Order enough of them, and they'll issue you a Man Club gold card. Order the *really* good stuff - like Laphroaig - and they'll even give you a platinum card, and instead of looks of apathy, the ladies will be looking at you lustfully.

I wouldn't have told you this if I didn't think you were up to it. It's hell being sought after by all the women. God makes few of us that are truly irresistable, though, and unfortunately, it's up to us to not shame God....|||Smirnoff Ice. If you doubt your ability to hold your drinks... just have one... at a time. haha|||Go with cordials. Alcohol % is lower, and they look like harder stuff. My favorite is Drambuie on the rocks. It's a scotch cordial blended with heather honey and different herbs, taste great, but little costly. Other choices would be Grand Marnier straight up or on rocks, Sambuca Rocks, or go with some cognac, Hennisey ect.|||Don't be fooled by the "girly" drinks. They are still pretty potent. However, a beer, which is pretty stereotypically male if alcohol were to have a gender, is a good front. There is usually the same alcohol content in an entire bottle of beer as there is in one tiny cocktail. PLUS, as long as you are HOLDING a beer, no-one's gonna ask you what number you're on.

Cheers!|||You were so honest I would never poke fun. Ask for a vodka and tonic and ask for a tall glass. You'll get more tonic. And if you want to have another you can ask for a sprite or so in the same glass with a lime and no one need know that you are being responsible and sane.. I used to drink because it was strong but now I just want a social drink without the stupid results. Just think about something a little more important and not your Man Card....whatever that is.|||I agree with Bond...James Bond, if you dont want to drink, dont. Is it ok to have breakfast with alcohol?

this Morning, my dad and I had baked potato with salad, smoked fish, and 1 shot of cognac Remy Martin . my head is spinning now, i am going to have coffee. planning to go shopping. Will I be ok?|||Heck, that's what a day off is for! People drink bloody marys with brunch! You'll be fine. Just don't drive for at least an hour and a half after the shot, and brush your teeth again. Until then, enjoy your early Saturday buzz!|||I don't know why your head is spinning, but it probably isn't due to the alcohol.

Sounds like you only had half a shot. A small glass of wine would typically contain about three times the amount of alcohol in half a shot.

Half a shot is barely enough to be felt, even if your rarely drink. I doubt it would make even child drunk enough for their head to spin.|||Yes, remember the wise man George Thorogood said, "Every morning just before breakfast

I don't want no coffee or tea

Just me and good buddy Wiser

That's all I ever need."|||Yes. It is just some stupid social rule that you can't "drink before 5pm". There's no medical evidence that it is bad to do.

You can have alcohol with breakfast, but be sensible about it. Corn flakes with vodka? Not really. Bacon and eggs with bread and a bit of beer? Delicious.|||yea should be fine, although i must warn you that your shopping might exceed the budget you had in mind before you had the shot!|||It's ok, you had food to absorb it and you will be just fine.|||You'll be fine.

"I'm a Hustler" with Remy Ma?

I heard it a couple of summers ago. It's Remy Martin (is that her name?) freestyling over the beat for Cassidy's "I'm a Hustler". She says "you'se a customer, you need to get accustomed to this..." LOL That's what I remember...it may not even be her but I'm pretty sure it is. 10 points for correct answer! Please and thanks.|||I know exactly what you mean...yea it's Remy Ma a.k.a. Remy Martin (had to change her name since some liquor has that name). I had it somewhere on my iTunes but must have deleted it. I googled it and still nothing! You'd think it'd just be "I'm a Hustla Remix"...lol

Does old champagne make you sick?

Okay, i have two old small 50 ml bottles of Remy Martin champagne and i'm not too sure about how old it is but my best bet is, that its more than 7 years old. I'm planning to drink it but im not sure about it yet. Would it be safe to drink it? Or will i get some type of poisoning?|||If it is a non vintage Champagne that has been lying around the chances are it is past its best but it won't make you ill... if it has been stored well or is a vintage then it is probably fine.

If it is a bottle of Remy Martin it is probably also fine.

It is however EITHER Remy Martin OR Champagne... Remy Martin are not Champagne producers.

Edit:

I think you are meaning Remy Martin Champagne Cognac which is a type of brandy from a specific region of France... don't confuse it with the actual drink Champagne.

It will be fine as long as it hasn't been sitting open.|||if it has been stored in a cool dry dark place , chances are it is still good. if it was stored in the garage window , probly not good|||to begin you got a bad bottle of champagne,,, second champagne usually has more sulfides than wine,,,,,,,, and co2 can make you sick,,,,,and usually any old bottle of wine or champagne can b bad|||If they are unopened then they're almost certainly safe to drink. They may not taste particularly good but they're extremely unlikely to make you sick.

What is the proper way to drink cognac?

And is it different if you're drinking regular cognac, such as Courvoisier VS or Remy Martin, as opposed to champaign cognac, such as Courvoisier VSOP?|||Definitely at room temp from a snifter...DON'T heat it up first like some do. It only causes the alcohol to evaporate and ruins the experience.

The lower quality Cognacs (VS's) can be mixed with whatever but anything of the VSOP quality or above should not. There is, however, a campaign by the Hennessey people to drink their XO on the rocks...anything to increase sales!|||one sips ones cognac if one doesnt want to fall on ones a$$|||slowly.|||Neat (straight, room temperature) from a snifter. Applies to all better Congnacs and Brandies.

Bert|||It sure is different. You want to savor the good stuff and avoid the poor-quality cognacs. A good cognac is like a cat in velvet slippers scampering down your throat. A cheap cognac is like the same cat, without the slippers, being pulled out by the tail.

A snifter is a must, but one that you can cup in your hand. The hand adds just the right amount of heat to a baseball-sized snifter to evaporate enough of the cognac to let you savor the aroma before slowly letting the liquid slide down your throat.

Actually, I prefer armagnac but that's another question for another day.|||Neat, room temp and in a snifter.|||In a big a$$ snifter with a smoking jacket and a pipe.. next to a fire in a comfy chair.|||alone!!!.... to feel the taste in you mouth ...enjoy it!!! with class!! ..dont mix it !! dont drink it fast keep it in your mouth for about 8 seconds then swallow it but ...slow..!|||Room temp to lukewarm in a large snifter. What sort of people drink Louis XIII by R茅my Martin?

I hear a 750 ml bottle of Louis XIII costs like $1500.

The crystal decanter is handblown and alone sells for like 100 bucks.

A 50ml 鈥楶etit Louis鈥?bottle goes for like $400.

The limited edition 'Spectaculaire' comes in a decanter embedded with a real diamond and the company recommends dealers to sell the limited edition for around $44,000!

What sort of jobs or careers do people do to be drinking this stuff?! lol|||Actually the decanter is a lot more than $100. My father drinks Louis XIII and XIV. He's retired and saved up all his life to have a comfortable retirement. My brother-in-law owns a trucking company and he drinks it as well. This is not a beverage that you guzzle. You sip it. Slowly. They buy maybe a bottle a year.|||R茅my Martin does not release the number of Louis XIII bottles produced a year; it is a company secret. Hip hop culture has had a dramatic influence on the Cognac industry in the past decade: Aprox 60 to 80% of Cognac drinkers are black. 60% of Cognacs are consumed mixed with Sprite or Coke.

VS - must be at least 4.5 years old

VSOP - must be at 4.5 to 6.5 years old

XO (Extra Old), Napol茅on, Hors d'Age, where the youngest brandy is stored at least six years in cask.

Please share anything that you would like to about the Louis XIII de Martin cognac.|||I have tried it some years ago and to tell you the truth I don't know what all the hype was about. The only thing that I think makes it impressive is that it costs $75.00 a shot. Also the bottle that it comes in is made out of some kind of expensive crystal and the metal trim around it is gold. Don't know what carot it is but, I do know that it is gold. The bottle itself is worth $200.00 and at some places if you get the last shot out of the bottle, they give you the bottle!|||it's quality but very overrated and over priced. for less you can try hennessy paradise and get more,or try hardy rose bud. the bottle is lalique crystal and at one time it was worth something, but because of the rapper hype it's been overproduced and now you can get a mint bottle on ebay for $15. the gold is plate and worth nothing.

The best of their range are my favourite brandies.

I have a bottle of Remy Martin cognac VSOP--January 13, 1938--in excellent condition--what is the value?

As already said this sort of cognac won't have an special value as it just a VSOP. But you can still try to get some better feedback on http://www.cognac-expert.com and "Submit a bottle" (Menu at the top) to get feedback from real experts, traders and collectors|||Unlike some wines, distilled spirits don't improve with age. So, while it's old, the cognac inside the bottle hasn't really become anything special. Also, VSOP is a bottom tier of cognac. If it was the Louis XIII, then you'd be talking ridiculous loot.|||wow. it's has to be worth a lot even if it's not top shelf cognac. i'm hoping that it has the paper seal on the top unbroken, that will make it even more valuable.|||ship it to me i will find out for you. lol

Hennessy or Remy Martin XO?

How would you compare them? can you notice any taste difference?|||Hennesy is a cognac so it got that smokey, woody taste.., but it's an expensive spirit so it's smooth n you barely notice. Remy is all goody but it's like a champaigne mixed w/ cognac.... so it's a head cracker, it gave me a headache i ain't like.|||REMY XO (find the lightest possible amber to get, they vary)

Hennesy is not even in the same league as REMY XO.

In fact REMY VSOP tastes way smoother the Hennesy XO.

(It also taste much better.)

|||Remy Martin XO...the taste is difference....|||I don't know about the xo but Hennessy to me was not as strong going down as Remy.
