I have a bottle of Remy Martin cognac VSOP, what can I drink this with?

They gave it to me as a wedding gift lol, a year ago. I have never opened it, because I dont know HOW to drink that. Do you drink it alone ? or do you drink it along with something =/ Also...how strong is it really ? helpp|||If you want a mixed drink, mix the VSOP with some Hpnotiq and you'll be drinking a Green Hulk as it will turn green in colour. You can drink it alone but it's more fun sharing with friends!|||Known by its frosted green bottle, R茅my Martins V.S.O.P. is the flagship of the brand. One bottle alone contains hundreds of blend components, ranging from four to fifteen years in age. The brand itself is a Fine Champagne Cognac taken from the two best crus. And with its golden amber color (old pale), smoothness, complexity and yet balanced, perfectly mature. Consider the fact that one of every three V.S.O.P.s sold in the world carries the name of R茅my Martin. To get the total experience and pleasure, it's best to sit back, relax and sip away and enjoy the pleasures of a fine brandy, VSOP stands for Very Special Old Pale.

Obtain yourself a snifter (a bowled glass) and pour about a 1.5 ounces of the beverage into the glass, enjoy the aroma's and sip away. I prefer to heat my snifter by boiling water, add it to the snifter, allow it to sit for 20/30 seconds, discard the water, pour the Cognac into the heated snifter and enjoy. I find beer or just water as an accompaniment go fine with me, others just prefer the brandy alone.|||How dare anyone say use orange juice...this is VSOP cognac...that is some reckless talk...

Serve on the rocks...|||You just drink it alone, just a little bit. It's really strong, but amazing, actually. It'd odd at first, because it makes you really salivate, which is why it's great to have before a meal. Be prepared a bit for the 'burn' however!|||Drink it over ice - or just by itself. It's very expensive cognac, enjoy!|||Lovely cognac. You will enjoy it slightly warm in a glass with a larger bowl and small lip so that you can enjoy the fragrance when you smell it. Sipping is recommended. You can drink it alone but part of the ambiance is sharing after a lovely meal. A wedding gift a year ago then surely you will be sharing.

If you find it a little strong for your palette you might want to put 1 oz in your glass %26amp; top it with Champage or fine sparkling wine. You will find it served this way as well in France.|||Nothing preferable. Coke if necessary|||drink it with orange juice or coke if you can't handle it neat|||Mixing anything with good cognac is an abomination. Drink it neat, warmed by your hand, in a snifter. It is not a liquor to be guzzled; sip it slowly and in small quantities. Make it last.|||Cognac is a strong drink (40%) that should be served in a baloon glass. (go to your nearest hospitality supply shop - they should have proper baloons and will be reasonably priced)

I usally have a nip after a great meal. It's a sipping drink that should be drunk neat and slowly (and not with food).

The idea of cognac is not so much to drink it but 'breath' it. If you want to get really into the swing, the glass should be heated (with hot water then dried) before pouring your nip|||I would suggest warming it a bit, to open it up. You'll note many different flavours as you sip this fine drink. Everything ranging from Oak, to a mild wine like taste. You mustn't pollute it with ice, water, or any "mixers".

I usually drink Cognac when smoking cigars or as an after dinner drink.|||As you are a neophyte drinker, I suggest buying a bottle of Benedictine and mix it with the cognac at a ratio of one part Benedictine to two parts cognac. The Benedictine is a sweet brandy liqueur and will cut the harshness of the Remy Martin. This mixture will result in an upscale B%26amp;B, a dandy after dinner drink that should be served slightly warm.|||Use a glass.

O_o

Thumbs down? I answered the question, guys. "...What can I drink this with?" A glass. It's better than cupping your hands together. Yeesh.|||alone or with a couple ice cubes. Hard to mix with other items because of the strong taste.
