My father had a liquor store and before he sold the store he kept a bottle of the champagne and a bottle of Remy Martin Cognac. I found them sitting on a shelf in his dining room. I would hate to open them up just to try, but I would hate to open them for company and have them be bad...so I look for an answer from you experts out there to tell me what I should do??|||if it's been sitting straight up in the dinning room forever, it may be horrid.
70-76 was a great vintage. but, i would really recomend trying it first or warning your guests...hey this could be really good, but it may be passed.
let me know how it is if you open it. let it take some air first though. it's been bottled so long, some air may do it goode. pop it, air it, drink in like 15 minutes. add a strawberry or peach. |||The Cognac is good.
The champagne will require your tasting it.
Good luck.|||The champagne is almost certainly bad. Cognac, being distilled, won't spoil especially when sealed.
